For over two decades, I excelled as a high-capacity leader in a multimillion-dollar organization, leading a team of 21 direct reports. I was the epitome of success—holding down a high-stakes career, a strong marriage, raising three kids, and even caring for our two dogs. From the outside, it looked like I was mastering the art of life. But inside, it was a different story.
Beneath the polished surface, I was grappling with crippling anxiety, buried under the weight of impossible expectations, and desperately trying to hold it all together by micromanaging every detail in my world. I was teetering on the edge of burnout and silently losing the energy to keep up.
Then, it all unraveled. As the world shut down during COVID-19, I found myself not just isolated but standing amid the ruins of a life I had spent years building. Every time I thought I’d hit rock bottom, the floor seemed to give way, and I fell deeper still. (or I would soon realize there was always another floor to fall through.)
The grief and exhaustion nearly convinced me to give up, but a sliver of resolve pushed me to fight back. I knew I couldn’t control everything outside, but maybe, just maybe, I could start from within. I committed to getting healthy—no shortcuts, no quick fixes. I enrolled in intensive therapy, read every book I could find on personal growth, enrolled in courses, and found mentors and coaches who could help guide me. This was my lifeline, and as I immersed myself, I began to feel glimmers of hope.
The transformation wasn’t instant. Piece by piece, however, I started to rebuild from the inside out. I discovered a powerful truth along the way: real, lasting change happens from within, not by controlling the world around us. Micromanaging had only exhausted me; I needed true internal alignment. As I healed, I shared what I was learning with friends and clients, testing every principle on myself first. The impact was real and lasting—not just for me but for everyone I guided through these changes. I saw people experience profound breakthroughs, finding a level of freedom and clarity that I had once thought impossible.
It’s been a long journey, full of heartache and discovery, but today I stand healthier and stronger than ever before. I’m remarried, filled with a renewed sense of purpose, and eager to share what I’ve learned. My hope is that others can find freedom without enduring years of brokenness like I did. I’ve already walked the hard path, clearing the way so that your journey to transformation can be smoother, shorter, and filled with hope.
You don’t have to struggle alone. Let me walk with you on a journey of healing and renewal—one that moves you from where you are to where you want to be.
